A multi-vintage red blend of 80% Garnacha tinta from El Tiemblo, Gredos, with 20% Syrah from Arcícollar, Toledo. The Garnacha, harvested in ‘22, saw a short 2-day maceration before moving into a chestnut barrel, and Cinta decided to round out the wine with a 7-day maceration of Syrah the following year. An unexpected wine with bassy undertones of woody herbs, spicy peppers and leather, but with a juicy freshness that allows it to be served a bit chilled in summer. Great with carne a la brasa. La Nave de los Locos ("the ship of fools") is the project of Cinta Moreso, who hails from Tortosa and who worked as a translator and a sommelier before embarking on her viticultural project in the Sierra de Gredos mountain range, west of Madrid. Cinta tends several small plots at 700-1100 meters above sea level, on unique granite and decomposed chalk soils that attracted her to the zone, collaborating with her partner Carlos Ingala, a soil scientist, to give specified care to each site. No chemical treatments are used in the vines, and in the cellar, Cinta lets the grapes sing, letting the wines ferment spontaneously, and not adding or subtracting anything from the wines in the process
