Description: A blended red wine made with 80% Garnacha Tinta from El Tiemblo, Gredos, and 20% Syrah from Arcícollar, Toledo. The Garnacha macerated briefly for two days before being transferred to chestnut barrels, and Cinta decided to round out the wine with a 7-day maceration of Syrah the following year. An unexpected wine with subtle hints of woody herbs, hot peppers, and leather, yet with a juicy freshness that allows it to be served slightly chilled in summer. Ideal with grilled meat. La Nave de los Locos is the project of Cinta Moreso, originally from Tortosa, who worked as a translator and sommelier before embarking on her winemaking project in the Sierra de Gredos mountains, west of Madrid. Cinta cultivates several small plots at an altitude of 700-1100 meters above sea level, on unique soils of granite and decomposed limestone that drew her to the area. Cinta collaborates with her partner, soil scientist Carlos Ingala, to provide specific care for each site. No chemical treatments are used on the vines, and in the winery, Cinta allows the grapes to ferment spontaneously, without adding or removing anything during the process.
